About The 2021 Catfish Charity Challenge

The American Catfishing Association has been very fortunate to have the support of so many in the catfish community. Our members, industry supporters, and Tournament Alliance members have been and remain the backbone to the ACA’s growing success.
Back in mid-January of 2021, one of our valued ACA Tournament Alliance members, Steven Hearn made a wonderful suggestion. Steven suggested to the entire Alliance that each event and trail pick a charity and throughout the season raise money for their desired cause.
As one of the most dedicated supporters of the ACA and the entire catfishing community, Steve Henderson, President of SeaArk boats, stepped up to offer his assistance in making this an even larger and beneficiary effort.
The thoughtfulness of Steven Hearn, the support by SeaArk and Steve Henderson started a cascade of ideas and objectives. The ACA leadership along with Steve Henderson, ACA Alliance Chairman Alex Nagy, and ACA Alliance Co-Chairman, Bryan St. Ama, got on a call together, and born was the “CATFISH CHARITY CHALLENGE!”
The objective of the Catfish Charity Challenge is to raise a minimum of $100,000 for charity. In 2021 the benefiting charity will be St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
All proceeds from this event will go to this year's charity.
This event is a huge opportunity for the entire catfish community to come together to give back in so many ways, but most importantly to show our unity for a cause of great integrity and generosity. We have given this event the slogan “Giving back has never been so much fun”. And that’s exactly what we have set out to accomplish.

October 27th through the 30th, SeaArk in concert with the ACA and the ACA Tournament Alliance and in cooperation with the State of Mississippi and Tunica, Mississippi will host what we all hope to be the largest event catfishing has ever seen. This will take the involvement from the catfish community from all around the county. Our goal is to host a minimum of 300, 2 to 3 person teams for a tournament in Tunica, Mississippi on the mighty Mississippi River on Saturday, October 30th.
