2021 Rules
ROD RIPPIN CATFISH TRAIL RULES
Good sportsmanship is expected of all individuals during the tournament.
Any disorderly conduct will be ample reason for disqualification.
Entry Fee 2021= $100
Teams will be allowed up to 3 anglers per team. The "Rumble on the River" Event is a Benefit Event and may have a different entry fee. This event is still being planned and coordinated. There will be more information to come at a later date.
3 Angler Teams will fish under 2 Angler Regulations.
$20.00 Big fish pot included in tournament fee.
Teams will be limited to a total of 6 lines in the water with unlimited rods in the boat.
1) All State and Federal rules will be observed.
2) Tournament Hours: Varies by Tournament and Time of Year (See
Info for each Tournament)
3) Brief Captain Meetings will take place 15-30 min before launch
at each Tournament
4) There will be a live-well check prior to take off.
5) All boats must be at weigh in (or ramp) by required time. No
exceptions.
6) No snagging or stringers will be allowed.
7) Life vest must be worn at take off.
All Tournament boats must maintain a distance of 50 yards
between each other while anchored and 50 yards while drifting.
8) There will be no fishing outside of the boat.
9) A maximum of 5 fish per boat will be weighed in. Tournament
Director may decide on a 3 fish weigh in during hot summer
months. Weighing a dead fish will result in DISQUALIFICATION.
10) No alcoholic beverages or Illegal drugs allowed during
Tournament hours.
11) All children 16 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult.
12) Fish can only be caught by Rod and Reel method. No foul
hooked fish will be accepted. Only 6 rods will be allowed in the
water at any given time.
13) Ties will be decided by Tournament Director.
14) No chumming. No fishing intentionally baited holes.
15) Any protests must be made before the Awards Ceremony
begins. We will not accept any protests thereafter.
16) These are catch and release Tournaments. All live fish must be
released. They may not be taken home with Tournament
participants.
17) No Gear or anchors past the red line at any dam.
